		<description>I've just seen the replay for Holland's first goal and Panucci is injured but is off of the pitch; surely he can't be playing van Nistelrooy onside whilst off of the field? Nevertheless it appears that the rule is that even though a player is off the field if he has had contact with his own player then he is still active.  That has to be one of the daftest rules ever conceived.

Albeit I do agree with the low standards that we expect of footballers but you could say that van Nistelrooy deserved a bit of luck for staying on his feet a few minutes earlier as if he went down it would almost certainly have been given as a penalty.
