Apology

Please can I offer you the following joint statement that has been made earlier today regarding this issue by Press Association (PA Photos) and Media Storehouse. As soon as Media Storehouse became aware of this image we immediately removed it from sale.

Kindest regards,

Derek Moore
Media Storehouse

Statement

Media Storehouse and PA Photos apologise unreservedly for any distress caused by this item appearing for sale on Amazon.co.uk.

Media Storehouse operates online photographic print stores on behalf of a large number of major organisations, including PA Photos. Image related products from these print stores are also made available on third party websites including Amazon.

Late on Friday 22nd May we received a message informing us that an inappropriate image had been included for sale on Amazon and we immediately responded by removing this item. The photograph in question formed part of a book of historical football photographs recently produced by PA Photos. All of the photos included in the book were uploaded to the PA Photos print store - the image was then included on an automated feed of images available via Amazon. An editorial filter should have been introduced to ensure that images, such as that of the Bradford Fire, were not made available for purchase as a separate item. We have never manufactured or sold any gift products relating to this particular image.

Media Storehouse and PA Photos are, as a matter of urgency, introducing additional checks to ensure this does not happen again.
