Flynn: I’m staying

Scotching rumours of his leaving Valley Parade Michael Flynn has confirmed that while he has an exit clause in his one year deal he does not intend to use it.

Speaking after rumours of a move to Brighton the City number four said

Everything is right about this club – they’re a good set of lads and management team, the chairmen have got their heads screwed on and the fans have been good to me, even when we are losing. Of course, there is a sense of frustration around the club and I feel that as much as anyone but I haven’t once been looking to get out of the door.

The midfield signing from Hudderfield Town has won hearts and minds in his brief City career so far and his commitment to applauding supporters following every game is noted and admirable while his combative midfield style with the ability to link defence to attack is very much what was lacking from the Bantams last year.

Meanwhile another signing from Huddersfield Town could be made as keeper Matt Glennon starts talks with City about a loan move to the Bantams.
