Syers signs for City

Having made his debut and scored on Tuesday night Dave Syers has signed a one year deal with City which gives the club the option to extend the contract for another year.

Syers is 22 years old and plays in a central midfield role with manager Peter Taylor saying that the midfield does much defensive work “which people do not see”.

In July 2010 Syers signed for Guiseley but has never played for the Leeds club and has now joins City on what seems to be a contrived loan deal.

Syers is from Leeds, went to University of Leeds and has previously played for Ossett Town, Farsley Celtic and Harrogate Town.
